Blue Angels Weather Alert: Friday Morning Update

Fellow Westside Rotarians:
The windy, rainy weather to which we awoke this morning is forecast to be with us throughout the day with some thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure. These are not conditions conducive to flying or even watching flying. Therefore, our NAS Jacksonville air show meeting today, Oct. 24, will begin at The Zone club and restaurant on the base at 11:30 a.m. We will have our scheduled BBQ lunch and a brief club meeting there with a possible visit by air show pilots if no flying is under way. If it turns out that any of the scheduled air show performers are able to launch, we will then have the option to relocate to the airfield. This is our scheduled club meeting for this week.

Directions to the Zone:
At the main gate, show your Air Show entry pass, and everyone in the vehicle be prepared to show a photo ID, Proceed straight down Yorktown Avenue five blocks to Gillis Street. Turn right and proceed one block to Saratoga. Turn left and proceed just short of one block. The Zone will be on your left.

If you have questions, call air show meeting coordinator Bob Kidd at 465-1965.
